Privacy Policy
Last updated July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information FineWright ("we", "us", or "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or Services, you agree to this policy.
1. Information you give us
We collect the information you choose to provide, such as when you fill out our contact form or project brief, submit a project intake form, or make a purchase. This can include your name, email address, phone number, business details, project information, and any files or content you upload or send us.
2. Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your card details are collected and handled directly by Stripe under its own security and privacy practices. We do not receive or store your full card number. We may receive limited information such as your name, billing location, and confirmation that a payment succeeded.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may collect basic technical data such as your browser type, device, and approximate location from your IP address, along with standard server logs, to keep the site secure and working. We also use Google Analytics to measure site usage (see section 6). Our site additionally uses your browser's local storage to remember items in your cart. That local storage stays in your browser and is not a tracking cookie.
3a. The AI assistant (chat)
Our site offers an optional AI chat assistant that answers questions about our services and pricing. If you use it, the messages you type are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a reply, and may be retained by us and by Anthropic as needed to operate and secure the service. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat. If you choose to give the assistant your name and email so we can follow up, that information is delivered to us like a contact form submission and handled under this policy. You can always reach a human instead through the contact form or hello@finewright.com, and you can ask us to delete your chat-provided details at any time (see section 8).
4. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and deliver our Services, respond to your messages, prepare quotes, process payments, build and support your website, keep records, improve our site, and, where you have agreed or where permitted, send you relevant updates. We do not sell your personal information.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run our business, for example with service providers who help us operate, such as our payment processor (Stripe), our website host and form provider (Netlify), and email tools we use to communicate. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your data to advertisers.
6. Cookies and local storage
We keep tracking to a minimum. We use local storage to run the shopping cart, and we use Google Analytics to understand general site usage, such as which pages are visited and how visitors find us. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives technical data such as your device and approximate location; see Google's privacy policy for how it handles this data. We do not run advertising trackers. You can clear local storage and block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may then not work.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain business and tax records, and comply with our legal obligations. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. To make a request, email hello@finewright.com.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers like Stripe and Netlify who maintain strong security. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Our Services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Other websites
Our site may link to other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
12. Where we operate
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed there. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand your information will be handled in the United States.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted here, with the "last updated" date. Continued use of our Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
